What to expect after receiving DAXXIFY injections

There is no downtime associated with DAXXIFY injections. However, patients sometimes experience side effects following the procedure, such as slight swelling, bruising, or tenderness around the injection areas. These effects are basically unnoticeable to anyone except the patient and will fade away within a day or so.

It is vital that patients refrain from rubbing, touching, or scratching the injection sites following the procedure. Doing these things can inadvertently cause the botulin toxin to spread to areas of the face where it was not intended to go. Patients should also make sure to avoid intense heat (such as from saunas or jacuzzis) and strenuous activity for the first 24 hours. An individualized recovery plan is provided upon discharge from our office.
