Rosacea, Sunspot Treatment
The RejuveLux™ IPL Photofacial process treats pigmented and vascular lesions on the face, as well as the arms, chest, and other large areas. Photofacials use intense pulsed light (IPL) to improve our Honolulu, Hawaii, patients’ skin tone and texture. These treatments clear sunspots, rosacea, telangiectasias, and other conditions for smooth, evenly colored skin with minimal discomfort.
What to Expect
IPL treatments, performed in our office, require approximately 45 minutes to complete. Treatments feel a little like a rubber band being snapped on your skin; anesthesia isn’t required.

After Your IPL Treatment
Skin will appear flushed immediately after treatment and capillaries may be more visible. Age spots may also appear slightly darker for a few days after the first treatment. These changes will diminish gradually, however. You will see visible improvement after each treatment. In fact, many people see an improvement after their first IPL treatment.
Avoid tanning before and after photorejuvenation treatments as tanning will enhance uneven skin color.
A series of 6 IPL treatments at 4-week intervals is recommended for best results. Maintenance treatments twice a year are also recommended.
