What is Liposuction?
Liposuction is an outpatient procedure done at our office. Tumescent liposuction is the most common form of the procedure. A salt-water solution containing a local anesthetic and adrenalin is injected through small incisions. This solidifies fat tissue and numbs the area, making it easier to suction fat from the targeted location. Fat is then gently removed using suction equipment to minimize trauma to your skin and muscles.
Tumescent liposuction results in very little bleeding or bruising during the surgery. It also allows the fat to be removed more evenly and safely from your body. As long as a person’s diet and exercise level remains stable, fat should not return to the areas from which it was removed.

Dr. Ching also offers laser lipo treatments with SlimLipo®. Laser lipo is a minimally-invasive outpatient procedure that’s sometimes called “lunchtime lipo.” At your consultation, he will discuss with you whether this is a good option for your body contouring needs.
